Megan Brautlacht, LMHC

Clinic Coordinator

I am a Mental Health Counselor licensed in the State of New York and Clinic Coordinator at our Derby Clinic. I specialize in Self-Esteem, Borderline Personality Disorder/Attachment, Sexual Trauma and Internal Family Systems. I believe human connection is the most important ingredient in life. I enjoy working at Harmonia because I can help my clients achieve their dreams in their own way. I find my personal balance playing with my dog, Maisie, dancing to music and cooking with friends and family.

Clinic Coordinator

I am a Mental Health Counselor licensed in NYS and Clinic Coordinator at our Hamburg location. I specialize in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Polyvagal Theory Informed Therapy, Cognitive Enhancement Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I like helping people reach their full potential, empowering them to achieve their goals through discovering and improving their individual strengths and abilities. I value the caring team at Harmonia and their commitment to the best interest of our clients. I find my balance in gardening, spending time in nature and caring for my pets.

Tammy Lyn Davis, LMHC

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with training in Progressive Counting and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I value the physical environment and energy at Harmonia that relates to an overall sense of well-being for both staff and clients. I enjoy helping facilitate healthy changes in my clients and giving back to my community to continue fostering positive mental growth. I find balance by spending time with family, friends and spending time in nature. I am an active volunteer member of the Springville 6-Star Post VFW Women’s Auxiliary where I work with my therapy dog, Beau, to support our local veterans.

I am a Licensed Master of Social Work with training in Solution-Focused Therapy and Polyvagal Theory. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Therapy and have experience with individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. I enjoy working at Harmonia because it gives me the opportunity to work with a team of experienced, talented clinicians who love what they do to help others. I value being able to work with my clients to help them work towards finding balance together. I find balance at home with family and friends and being out in nature. Quiet moments of peace help me recharge and regain my balance.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor specializing in Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing Therapy (EDMR). This type of therapy uses eye-movement to reprocess traumatic memories. I value the collaborative environment at Harmonia, which enhances my skills as a clinician. I enjoy seeing clients utilize the tools they learned in session to help them grow and meet their goals. I find my balance by practicing self-care, reading and spending time with my family and friends. I enjoy exercise, learning and being outdoors.

Katherine Nolan-Eaton, LMHC

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor specializing in Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Internal Family Systems, Mindfulness-Based Practices, Yoga and Ayurveda. I hold a 200 Hour Yoga Certificate from the Himalayan Institute Buffalo and I am an Ayurveda Yoga Specialist. I enjoy exploring the many ways to help myself and others overcome obstacles to their happiness, recover from loss and triumph over adversity and suffering. Movement is my key to getting out of my head and into my body and back into life, whether through riding my bike, doing yoga or going for a walk.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Senior Clinician at Harmonia. I have specialized training in Brief Solution-Oriented Therapy, Marital, Couples and Family Therapy, Anger Management, Relaxation and Guided Imagery, Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Cognitive Behavioral and Rational Emotive Therapy and Rogerian Therapy. I am certified and licensed by NYS and a Diplomate in Clinical Social Work. I enjoy working in this field because it is always interesting, challenging, rewarding and validating. I value the professional staff at Harmonia, the diverse clientele, the modern building on a beautiful site and the supportive environment. I find my balance with my wife, family, landscaping and on the golf course.

Cherie B. Ruben, PhD

I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with specialized training in depression, anxiety and the mental health needs of older adults. I am certified in Medical Psychology and Psychopharmacology. My professional affiliations include the Psychological Association of WNY, Central NY Psychological Association, NYS Psychological Association and the American Psychological Association. I enjoy connecting with people to help improve their mood and outlook as they develop their own connections in their social world. My favorite moments at Harmonia are home visits to those who live in isolation in underserved areas. I find balance in singing semi-professionally and walking to work.

I am a Mental Health Counselor with training in Trauma-Informed Care including Progressive Counting therapy and CBT-I to treat insomnia. I am an NYS School Counselor and Licensed Mental Health Counselor in NYS. I value the mutual respect Harmonia clinicians have for each other, our clients and our clients’ needs. I enjoy listening to and connecting with others. I find balance in spending time with family and friends, practicing self-care and setting personal boundaries so I can ”show up” for my interpersonal relationships with family, friends, co-workers and clients.

Margaret Root, LMSW

I am a Licensed Master Social Worker with experience in school social work, grant coordination and mindfulness education. I am certified in Niroga Mindfulness Training, Positive Neuroplasticity and Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing Therapy (EDMR). My favorite times at Harmonia are when my client and I simultaneously experience an “Aha!” moment. Fresh insight can be like a breath of fresh air or the pieces of a puzzle coming together. Good psychotherapy has helped me in the past. It amounts to stepping beyond the limitations we unwittingly put upon ourselves. I find self-awareness that emerges from having a daily self-care practice and frequent excursions in nature to continue to be vital for my own balance and perspective.

I am certified in the Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counseling (CASAC) Trainee certification program (CASAC-T) and a member of Chi Sigma Iota Honor Society Nu Chapter. I believe in the use of counseling as a path to wellness. Being a resource and an open ear for those working to find balance in their lives gives my life purpose. I hold my master’s degree in Public Administration. I also have a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling and I am licensed in NYS. I am a Health Leaders Fellow through the Health Foundation for Western & Central New York, and certified in Continuous Quality Improvement. I am professionally affiliated with the American Counseling Association, NY Mental Health Counseling Association (state and local), Buffalo Niagara Chapter Co-Coordinator 2013 – 2017, President 2017-2018 and Kappa Gamma Pi Honor Society. From my first days at the organization until today, I have felt at home. The staff and leadership celebrate and support each other. I value their growing together as a team to help our clients reach their goals. As a therapist, I love seeing people improve. I believe everyone is collectively better for it. As a CEO, my position allows me to learn and innovate. Being able to improve processes, develop staff and grow Harmonia is invigorating. I find my balance in attending festivals, eating good food, listening to music, spending time at the beach and in nature, crafting and laughing with family and friends. I believe we find balance when we use the right ingredients at the right time. Listen to what your soul needs and feed it!

I have an Associates of Arts & Science in Accounting. I have training in Accounting, and I am certified in HIPAA, Compliance for Health Care Professionals and Human Resources. I am a Six Sigma Yellow Belt. I value the team atmosphere at Harmonia. I appreciate how everyone works together toward a goal of helping our clients get the quality services they need to feel their best. I believe my work in strengthening the organization’s internal systems supports those working directly with Harmonia’s clients. I find my balance in practicing yoga, spending time with my family and reading.

Office Manager

I am the first face you see when walking in the door at our Derby location. I am a problem solver who helps our clients make their way through the organization. I have an associate’s degree in Business Management and am trained as a Personal Trainer. I find it rewarding to be associated with an organization that plays a big role in helping people find mental balance. I find my personal balance through constantly trying to move forward with purpose. I am a runner with experience in sanctioned races and marathons. I believe it is important to give back to my community. One of my favorite things is leading the organization’s holiday drive in support of individuals and families.

Kristy Gasiewicz, MS

Health Home Director

I have a bachelor’s degree in Health & Wellness and a Master of Science in Adult Education. I value the intimate feel of a small agency where you are more than just a number. I have years of experience in the field and enjoy making a difference in peoples’ lives. I am passionate about connecting people to services that advance their health. I find my balance at the gym and with my dogs, 4-year old chiweenie, Molly; 7-year old dachshund, Coco; 15-year old dachshund, Weenie, and 4-year old English bulldog, Bertha. I am actively involved in animal rescue and fostering dogs. One dog comes in when the other dog finds its forever family. I am also a Girl Scout troop leader for my daughter’s troop.

I have a Bachelor of Science in Human Services and I am a certified Person-Centered Case Manager. I am professionally affiliated with the WNY Integrated Care Collaborative, Network in Aging and the Southtowns Coalition Group. I have a passion for helping those who are frail and isolated. I believe that at the end of the day, no matter the age, everyone wants to be in their own home. I am thankful that our Case Management staff can help our clients achieve that wish. I find my balance with my husband raising our twin boys. Going down to the beach is my happy place.

I value the organization’s focus on celebrating each other which leads to a better appreciation of the team. I enjoy Medical Billing because it is always changing. I love learning about new standards and the ”sleuthing” work required to complete the daily puzzle. I find my balance in spending time with my family. I enjoy mountain and road biking, theater and attending concerts. I am an amateur photographer, with a penchant for bumblebees.
